Sealing for Science Mini-Doc
Apple Rubber was approached by a conservation researcher who was facing a unique challenge. The researcher was studying beluga whales in Cook Inlet, Alaska, using specialized recording equipment to capture their vocalizations and behavior. However, the harsh Alaskan environment and the demanding nature of the research caused the standard o-ring in the equipment's housing to fail, resulting in a leak that rendered the recordings unusable. This project has earned glowing reviews and won a Silver MCAN award for video.
In addition to scripting this project, I also assisted in directing during filming.
